East Bali Tour

East Bali Tour is a Bali Full Day Tour package which the tour is special for visiting places of interest in eastern part of Bali island. We aranged your tour program, starting to visit a unique temple approach to the beach named Goa Lawah. Goa Lawah is one of bali’s most important temples, its name translates to ’bat cave’.

Located in the village of Pesinggahan, Dawan District, bordering the Klungkung and Karangasem Regencies. Then we will visit Tenganan Village, a traditional balinese country side with unique cultures and sosial life. Tenganan Village is also one of Bali’s original prehindu settlements and a stronghold of native traditions.

Next  trip we will visit Ujung Water Palace, this picturesque pleasure park and water garden was built in 1919 by the last king of Karangasem. Another royal pleasure park that we will visit is Tirta Gangga, built by the last king of Karangasem. Tirta Gangga is a beautiful garden with water fountain and fish pond surround. This tour will be enjoyable for you who loves nature, history, and you will discover a new tradition and cultural on this island of Bali.

Goa Lawah Temple

Goa Lawah Temple is one of Bali’s most important temples. It features a complex built around a cave opening that is inhabited by hordes of bats, and its name translates to ‘Bat Cave’. This temple was established in the 11th century by Mpu Kuturan, one of early priests who laid the foundations of Hinduism on the island.

Goa Lawah is located in the village of Pesinggahan, Dawan district, bordering the Klungkung and Karangasem regencies. The Goa Lawah Temple is a large complex on the north side of the Jalan Raya Goa Lawah main road. It is a stopover for holidaying locals who come in with offerings and do short prayers before continuing with their journey. You can see the outline of Nusa Penida Island on the horizon from here.

Tenganan Village

Tenganan, northwest of Candidasa, is situated about 5 km from the main road. Tenganan is a symmetrically laid out Bali Aga village with a walled homes and unique crafts. Bali Aga was the original inhabitant of Bali, before the arrival of Hindu Javanese.

Tenganan retains its ancient pre-Hindu customs through a strong code of non-fraternization with outsiders, further enforced by the protection of its surrounding walls.

Taman Ujung

Taman Ujung Water Palace was built in 1919 as a relaxation and recreation palace by the then King of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Jelantik. He was the father of the King who built Tirta Gangga.

It was largely destroyed by the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963 (yes indeed, the same one destroying Tirta Gangga), damaged again by an earthquake in 1979 and has been very recently restored completely. You can have a look at the King’s private rooms with old style traditional bed and furniture and old family photos hanging on the wall.

Tirta Gangga

Tirta Gangga Park is a beautiful water park featured by the big ponds and pool with fresh water come from the mountain situated in Abang District, north part of Karangasem Regency.It is built in 1948 by the king of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem.

Before this park is found, there is big spring founded in this area so the local community call this place as ‘Embungan’ that mean spring.
